JCB, which stands out with its construction machines, has produced the fastest tractor in the world together with Williams Advanced Engineering. This tractor, called Fastrac, has a thousand horsepower and speeds of up to 166 kilometers per hour.
Last year, the world’s fastest tractor record in the UK was broken, a special tractor reached 140 kilometers per hour, reaching the speed of being the fastest tractor in the world. This record was broken once again in England, although it did not pass for a long time. This time, JCB was the company that produced the world’s fastest tractor. The collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering, one of the leading engineering teams of Formula 1 races, gave JCB Fastrac the title of the world’s fastest tractor. That tractor;
JCB Fastrac produces 1,000 horsepower and 2,500 Nm of torque. The tractor’s standard CVT transmission with a 7.2-liter diesel engine was replaced with a 6-speed gearbox to boost acceleration. Tractor aerodynamic studies were carried out by Williams Advanced Engineering. The maximum speed of this tractor is 166 kilometers, which is registered at the airport in Elvington, England.
Lord Bamford, the president of JCB, said that this was only a dream in the first place, but that the dream was intended to be realized by the whole team, and that everyone made the maximum effort. Saying that British engineering is excellent, Bamford said his team’s talents are enough to make this dream come true and that he is proud of all his employees.
A demonstration video showing the high power of the tractor was shared on JCB’s original Twitter account. Here is the video;
