5G technology is anticipated with great enthusiasm due to the innovations that will bring in many areas, and the steps are being taken quickly. The latest news shows that technology is now quite close.
5G promises much more than the standard of a telecommunication service with its wide range of uses. We are constantly receiving new development news about technology, which is thought to be a great contribution especially in the development of virtual reality and intelligent home and smart car technologies. The last news came from the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). 3GPP announced that they have officially set up standalone service standards for 5G.
This new standard will allow 5G technology to be used and developed independently. In this way, it is aimed that the new technology can reach to large masses rapidly and spread more rapidly.
Balázs Bertényi, chairing 3GPP’s 5G projects, emphasizes that 5G’s global vision is evolving and step by step, thanks to its independent service and development systems. In December, the 3GPP ended the Non-Standalone standard, which uses existing LTE technology to spread international 5G.
It is expected that 5G will be tested by several telecommunication companies in late 2018 and will be available by 2019. But 2020 is the clearest date for a global expansion.
