Hundreds of Apple Watches were reportedly stolen from an Amazon warehouse. And the thieves didn’t have to break in to carry out their caper — they worked there.
The Middletown, Delaware, Police Department says they were contacted by Amazon Loss Prevention about four employees of a company Fulfillment Center. The group is accused of making off with over $100,000 worth of Apple’s popular wearable.
In the past days, hundreds of Apple’s product warehouses were reported to be stolen. According to the latest information, it turned out that thieves didn’t even force the door. The $ 100,000 robbery was among the employees of the Amazon.
Officials from the Middletown Police Department said that four people working in the Amazon Damage Prevention department stole the Apple Watch worth $ 100,000. Although the police could capture a certain part of the devices, a significant number of devices could not be reached.
Taneesha Pinkett, Tyaisha Butler and Isaac Francis, were sent to court for second-degree organized crime and theft. The fourth suspect, Shadaria Bell, is missing.
